Does this resonate?
For as long as you can remember, you’ve felt shaped by the expectations of who you “should” be, how you “should” feel, and what you “should” want.
Now, it feels like you’re living a life that isn’t even yours.
People think of you as strong, reliable, and independent. But inside, you’re constantly second-guessing yourself, wondering if you’re on the right path, and feeling the pressure of the high expectations you have for yourself. So you’re moving through life on autopilot: doing what needs to be done just to keep going.
Getting through by pushing forward, doing what’s expected, and putting others first has helped you survive up to this point, but you don’t want to just survive anymore. You want a life that feels meaningful, relationships that give as much as they take, and a clear sense of who you really are.
Supporting you in moving out of survival mode and toward a life that feels meaningful to you.
Hi, I’m Lauren.
In our sessions, I strive to create a space where you can be yourself, where honesty is welcomed and there is no expectation to perform.
This is your life and your therapy experience, and together we’ll explore what feels helpful, what doesn’t, and where you’d like to go. My role is to support you as you find your way forward, offering compassion and genuine curiosity about your story.
In our sessions, I’ll listen with care, ask questions that help you see things from new angles, and point out patterns you might not have noticed before. We’ll also explore practical steps that could support the changes you’d like to make. My hope is that you leave our sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more confident about what’s next.

My Focus Areas
Where I do my best work
Maybe you find yourself overthinking every interaction and constantly worrying about how others see you. Saying “no” feels uncomfortable, so you end up putting everyone else first and losing sight of your own needs. And no matter how much you do for others, you still feel like you’re not good enough.
Together, we’ll explore setting boundaries, quieting the critical voice in your head, and learning to trust your own voice again.
You’ve been the “giver” for so long that it’s hard to imagine what it would feel like to have relationships that are truly reciprocal. Conflict might feel terrifying, so you adapt, settle, or let others’ opinions guide your choices, even though it makes you feel utterly alone. Maybe you can’t help but become a chameleon in your relationships, changing how you show up to suit the other person, and wishing you could just be your genuine self no matter who you’re around.
Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you, practice setting boundaries with compassion, and work toward relationships that feel healthier and more balanced.
03 EMDR
Some of the self-doubt, anxiety, or patterns you’re stuck in may trace back to earlier experiences. EMDR helps us revisit where the deeply rooted beliefs you carry may have begun, like feeling responsible for others’ emotions or not feeling good enough.
EMDR can support you in working with those beliefs and beginning to shift them toward something more supportive and compassionate. Through this process, it’s possible you can carry your story differently and with more compassion for yourself.
The Process
Reach out
Schedule a free consultation here. On this brief call, we’ll talk about what’s been going on and I can answer any questions you have. If we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule your first session. We can meet in-person at my office in Franklin or online from anywhere in Tennessee
Share your story
In our sessions, you’ll have space to share openly, without judgment or pressure. We’ll meet weekly or biweekly at first, because consistency often helps therapy feel more effective and supportive. It’s my goal to listen, ask questions, and help you connect the dots between what you’ve been feeling and where it might be coming from.
Move toward clarity
Goals of our work together may include gaining new insights into your patterns, your needs, and your values. We’ll work toward helping you see your options more clearly and building trust with yourself in order to choose what’s right for you. My hope is that, over time, our work together may support you in feeling more grounded, less weighed down, and more trusting of yourself.

Compassionate support through life’s changes and challenges.
