Therapist for Women in Franklin, TN

Hi, I’m Lauren.

I help women who feel stuck in anxiety, people-pleasing, or navigating relationships reconnect with their worth and move toward creating a life that feels meaningful to them.

You’ve been carrying the weight of “shoulds” and self-doubt, and it feels heavy.

There can be space to set some of this down.

You second-guess yourself, replay every conversation, and feel the constant pull of other people’s opinions. It’s exhausting trying to keep everyone else happy while wondering if you’ll ever have room to be yourself.

You don’t have to keep carrying this on your own. Our work together can give you space to unpack what’s been hard and explore new ways of moving forward.

How I work

Together, we’ll sort through what’s been happening and why it feels so heavy.

I believe meaningful change is possible when you feel safe enough to be honest and when you have someone supporting you who’s willing to dig a little deeper. My hope is that this work may help you see yourself in a new light, and support you in finding greater clarity and confidence as you move toward a life that feels true to you.

Therapy with me is…

01 Collaborative

This is your life and your process, so you always get a say in what we focus on and how we move forward. We’ll check in often about what’s working and what’s not, adjusting along the way. My role isn’t to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you and help you find the path that feels right. You and I are a team in this work.

02 Compassionate but direct

I want you to feel cared for and understood, but also challenged in a way that helps you grow. In our sessions, that looks like listening with care, hearing your experiences with empathy and understanding, and asking honest questions like “How do you want to show up in this situation?” or “If we could push all other opinions to the side, what is it that you want?” You can expect both warmth and honesty in our conversations, as well as opportunities to see new perspectives and gain new insights.

03 Focused on getting to the root

This work isn’t about just managing surface-level symptoms. I want to help you connect the dots between what’s going on now and where those patterns began. Sometimes that means exploring earlier relationships or experiences, and sometimes it means using tools like EMDR or parts work to get to the heart of what’s keeping you stuck. Gaining clarity on the ‘why’ can offer you more choice and may empower you to see your story differently.

04 Practical

Insight is important, but so are tools you can actually use in your everyday life. I’ll share helpful strategies that you can practice outside of session. We may go over grounding techniques, coping skills, or talk about simple habit shifts. I sometimes even recommend podcasts or books that are relevant to what we’re working on, if  you enjoy those sorts of resources. My goal is for you to leave our sessions with something doable and realistic that you can put into practice right away.

05 A Safe, Judgement-Free Space

This is a space where you can show up exactly as you are: messy, uncertain, or in the middle of figuring things out. You don’t have to filter or explain yourself here. We’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and I’ll meet you with curiosity, not judgment.
